The District of Asia has just concluded its annual retreat.
Ten Marist priests spent the second week of November in prayer and reflection at the Saint Ignatius Spirituality Center (SISC) on Samal Island.
Ably led by Fr Kevin Conroy SM (socius at the International Novitiate in Davao), members of all four communities of the District contemplated themes connected to the universal Church’s Year of Consecrated Life.
As is the custom, the week ended with the retreatants renewing their vows before setting back out on mission.
The District is very grateful to Fr Kevin for his wisdom and generosity in leading the retreat, and wishes him well as he prepares to head back to his home province of New Zealand in January 2016.
Thanks, too, to the staff of SISC, which proved to be a beautiful venue.
Please continue to pray for all members of the District, that their commitment to the spiritual life may bear good fruit for the people they serve.
