IMG_3356On 28 September 2014, on the feast of St. Lorenzo Ruiz, the Lay Marist Vocation Promoters gathered at Chanel Formation House, Dumalag, Davao City. Those who answered the invitation to help in promoting the Marist life were Jano Dalumpines, Arfel John Bilbao, Glenn Limosnero and Joemari Camina. All of them were former seminarians of the Marist Fathers who have expressed their commitment, generosity and happiness in promoting Marist life and recruiting young men to join the congregation.

We are also inviting other former Marist seminarians who would like to join the LMVP team. You are most welcome to be part of it . Please contact Fr. Chris, SM.

Go…………….. let us make the whole world Marist!

Let us accompany them with our prayers!

Holy Name of Mary feast celebrated in Asia!

10552371_863310280346998_4800490367886454119_n“Like Mary, choose to be brave!”This is the theme of this year’s Marist Feast Day celebration of the Holy Name of Mary in Davao on September 13. The Marist Family together with their friends and mission collaborators gathered together for mass, food, parlor games and entertainment. About 300 people attended the celebration.

One significant part of the celebration was the sharing of couple Ronald and Thata Lida of their missionary experience in Ranong, Thailand. Many were moved by their courage, commitment and love for each other as well as for the Marist Mission in Asia.

10665234_863310943680265_153591146730968840_nOn the 12th September, the prisoners of Maa-Davao City Jail had their own celebration too. There was a mass followed by a simple entertainment given by the inmates themselves as well as gift-giving of slippers, soap and food. We thank all those generous people who shared their blessings.

Meanwhile, In Ranong, Thailand, Marists and their mission partners had come together to celebrate the Holy Name of Mary feast on the 12th September.. They had a mass and a table fellowship afterwards.

May we continue to live and share the Gospel in Mary’s way in our world!

Happy feast day to all!

Cotabato Bridgers get together in Tacurong City

10615602_947106118638436_183300540766279315_nMembers of the Bridgers who joined the Marist College Formation  program in Cotabato City gathered on August 30, 2014 for bonding and fellowship at the beautiful house of Atty. Edgar Sinangote in the city of Tacurong. Present were Leo Lardera, Arnold Terne, Joeffrey Laraya, Joven Suaga,  Kenneth Bretania and RJ dela Cruz. They were able to share about their live, families and works and their plans for the future as well. Undoubtedly, happy stories and experiences were reminisced during the bonding.

.To be able to organize the gathering is a clear sign that the fraternity and friendship well started way back in Cotabato City during the 90’s is pretty much alive until now. Indeed, the Marist Spirit is truly embedded in the hearts of these former Marist seminarians.

We hope and pray for more bondings and fellowships in the future for Bridgers. It is consoling and encouraging event!

May the Marist Spirit  inspire and guide all Bridgers and their families.
